Yusra Abdullahi is a PhD candidate at Leiden University. She researches African activism at the United Nations and how it contributed to shaping the world order.
Yusra has extensive experience in the areas of human rights and international development. She has worked, among others, in Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, and Uganda, where she used her regional expertise to advise (inter)national NGOs, UN agencies, embassies, and think tanks on issues relating to the intersecting realms of conflict transformation, gender, and migration.
