Ambassador Alain Aime Nyamitwe is a Burundian career diplomat who has served as the ambassador to the African Union and the minister of foreign affairs. He represented Burundi in Geneva as first counsellor from 2008 to 2011, served as ambassador to Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea from 2011 to 2013, and was ambassador to Ethiopia, Djibouti, Chad, and South Sudan.
